konnichiwa ryuu, sayonara usagi ^^

gonna get goin' y'all ;]
i'm just hatchin' :3

Just a few hours remaining before we bid goodbye to the hoppy rabbit and welcome the wet dragon.

As we welcome the new year, have we made something significant this year? Have we accomplished something extraordinary? I won't ask about the New Year's Resolutions for I know that many didn't able to meet them. Hehe :D

This year, as I had sent as an entry to Fran and Andre's Jumpstart program on Monster Radio RX 93.1, was a rollercoaster ride for me. It was fun at the beginning of the year, thanks to my extracurricular activities with Mapua DanceCom thou i'm in the midst of finishing our feasibility study and at the same time juggling my time on the Undergrad Review for ACT students and attending to my Internship at an auditing firm.

The middle of the year, it was a rough ride. Thanks to the defense of our study [that I really hate, due to that one aprticular panel member], plus the endless processing of our requirements for graduation which made us go to Mapua Intramuros back and forth for a lot of times. Good thing we were able to finish them on-time for our commencement exercises last August.

But of course, I still have a bitter-sweet ending for the year. With lots of blow-by-blow events and activities happened at the last trimester of the year.

Beginning of September, I got the chance to participate in Orange Dance Studio's Decade of Dance. Come end of September, I was finally hired by ZARA Philippines as an Accounting Staff/Clerk [they seemed to be of the same definition]. This seemed to be okay but then the Review for CPA-wannabes had started at the end of November, my social life is affected now! :))

Thou I seemed to be busy, I never forget to at least enjoy life on my own. I was able to attend different conventions of my interests and hobbies, got chances of meeting new people, and interact with them.

Come December. I didn't expect this month will be wickedly great! I just happened to try joining promos on RX 93.1. Not only that I was able to participate with them on the Lock & Load event last December 17, 2011, I also met great people!

This may not be the best year so far [and I may have lots of regrets] I still can say I enjoyed this year.

I just hope that Ryuu's Year will be great for me. Here's a slice of 2012's luck (Chinese Horoscope):
There will not be too many dull moments in 2012 for those born under the sign of the Horse. There may be quite a few changes on the home front this year. You will do exceptionally well career wise this year. March will be a good time if you are thinking of a job change. It would be advisable for you to follow a proper diet and take adequate rest this year with such a hectic schedule all through the year. If you meet someone special, try not to come on too strong as it can be a major turn off. Financially, you need to be more careful as certain losses are indicated. These may be the result of certain hasty decisions on your part. It’s important that you don’t jump in and analyse even the minute details for a positive year ahead. Keep strong emotions like possessiveness and jealousy at bay to avoid tense situations. The south is lucky and the month of June brings happiness. Dress in your lucky colour green for added charm.

And the Western one is this:
“Try to be less hesitant” is the advice that zooms out bright from the Aquarius Horoscope 2012. Carefree yet focused, creative yet confused, at times the water bearer tends to be much of a procrastinator.

This leads to unwanted inhibitions and hesitations. The Aquarius astrology update for 2012 would have circumstances where the only way out would be spontaneity. The troublesome affairs of last year ceases for good, but being hesitant to new ideas and people will only bring the same stagnation back.

Your social life will improve manifolds as does your family life. Owing to a job change or a career move might take you to a new land amidst new people. Socializing is on the cards! As you meet new people, make friends you get the scope to learn about various aspects.

The Aquarius horoscope 2012 reveals few other important facts on other areas such as love, work, money and relationships.

read more here...

I just wish for a fruitful and meaningful year, no matter what happened. And also, I don't believe that it'll be the end of the world next year. Only God knows when will be the end.

May the Water Dragon pour all kinds of luck and good vibes this coming year. 16.5 hours to go before midnight...

Pop Pop and Away!

December 17, 2011.

A day set for games of lazer guns and lights.
A day set to unleash the inner snipers, gunners, and tacticians
[not to mention gymnasts] sleeping in the depths of our souls.

Monster Radio RX 93.1 presents to you:

LOCK & LOAD: The Monster Warfare!

credits to RX 93.1 website

The mission: to be the champion of 3 lazer-filled challenges

The prize: passes to Manila Ocean Park, Laser Xtreme merchandise, and RX 93.1 goodies

Days before this event, the radio jocks of diff. shows in RX 93.1 recruited some of its listeners to be part of their teams. The teams were [with their respective leaders]:

Red [Kikay Barkada] - The Morning Rush w/ Chico & Gino
Green [Team Ro-Ro] - The Ride w/ Jude, Rico, & Karen
Black [Team Negro] - The Daily Survey w/ Louie D. and Danielle
White [Team Pop Pop!] - Jumpstart w/ Fran and Andre
Yellow [Team Yellow] - Happy Hour w/ Hazel & Cerah
Blue [Team JinTomnia] - Late Night Clinic w/ Tom & Jinri
Orange [Team HeckYeah!] - The Morning After w/ Alven & Sel
Violet [Team Radio1] - Radio1 w/ student jocks

I was chosen for White Team, with Fran sending me an e-mail a day or two after I sent my requirement of an action pose :D

But I wasn't expecting Black Team to e-mail me too the day i received Fran's mail. At first, I was troubled as to which team should I really join. I came up with the decision of being with the first team to acknowledge me as their official member. So yeah, I am a Popper! :D

Day of the game. I arrived at the venue 45 mins. late. It's because we left my place late and dropped off at the wrong place [thank you Festival Mall for this confusion]. ;p

Good thing nothing has been done yet, till 1.30 pm as we readied ourselves for the battle of the year [daw].

Somewhere between 12.45 and 1.30 a very special guest has arrived to support our team. It's no other than Phil Younghusband! We got an import! Way to go, Poppers! :)

Thank you to the one who captured this pic on my cam :)

Pop Pop! went up against Team HeckYeah! first at the LazerTag. I, being a complete newbie listened to our great tactician Kuya Benjie about our gameplan and just did what I have to do. We picked our vests and guns [and got the name Blade] and off we go to the battlefield.

The game was so intense, i tell you. 'Twas not easy, it's just like paintball but more fun that that. One will not die and not participate anymore, it's just have a 3-second temporary hold on the gun.

At the end of the game the winner was announce: US! And guess what, I was the Top scorer for the round! @_@ I was like 'Oh my God, how'd that happen?' and then Fran said 'Good job y'all!'. :)

after-game look. see how great we were, huh? ;p :D

After some rests, we headed for the LazerMaze event. Boy, this was bysofar the hardest. We were required to pass by series of lasers just like those in the movies. Flexibility and Mindset were needed. I may have the proper mindset but my flexibility was not-so-good these days so I don't expect a high score for me. :))

We lost to Team HeckYeah on this round but no one's bitter about it. It seems everyone anticipated the result of this round. :))

Last round for the Elims was the LazerSniper, their latest addition to the laser adventures. The sniper gun was kinda heavy so i missed some of the targets but I still did good, as well as with my teammates. We conquered Orange Team with our victory in this event.

And we're up on the Semis on LazerTag event agains Team Negro. Man, the fight was so close. Those 2 men in blacks are so sick! They always got me hit, many many times! Of course, I hit them back too. Payback, baby!

And also that kid who just follows you around. Man, if one wouldn't notice him ahead, you're dead meat! Not to mention the stalking done by Louie D himself to me. He hit me many times too, I also hit him many times hahaha.

The game had finished. We knew who won: Team Negro..... by a mere 4000+ POINTS! Oh gosh, those points were too close. We could've hit them more but then again, we're time-constricted.

The top spot was conquered by Andre, followed by peeps from the Black Team, then somewhere in the middle Rina was there, then at the 9th, Me! :D

Everyone enjoyed the last game 'coz everyone's on the move. You cannot station in one place only. You gotta move, fast but discretely.

After our fight with the Black, we just stayed at the area to watch, enjoyed each others company, talk, share stories [and twitter accounts] and more! As long as it's fun, we did it.

The Final Round happened, with Black and Yellow competing for each other. This is the most intense game that I've ever seen. The Yellow got nice tactics and strategies; the Black got the good men on the loose. They all are the bomb!

On the LazerTag event, it was Yellow Team who brought home the bacon. But the Over-all Champion was the Black Team, after conquering the LazerSniper and the LazerMaze.

'Twas a day full of fun and intensity, i tell you!

And of course, I didn't miss this opportunity to have photo ops with the radio jocks that I've been listening to since years ago :)

it's Teacher K! :)

the Ro is here, yo! Jude Rocha :D

si ChiChi, este si Chico pala :D

my radio crush #1: Gino Boy! :">

o hail great andre (now my crush #2) :)

with alvHen of TMA :D (me H talaga lol ;p)

the beautiful Fran, the great captain :)

And yes, the Top 2 of LazerTag went for some 'yabang' pose [i think?] :))

sorry dude, but i just won over you ;p

i will definitely be back for the LazerTag. I love it! Haha.

Thank you RX 93.1 for this opportunity. Thank you Fran and Andre for choosing me to be part of the White Team. I enjoyed the company so much. :)

REPRESENT! :]
I CONQUERED LAZER XTREME! OH YEAH~
Thank You, KBP Golden Dove Awardee for Best FM Radio Station :)

[Reviews] Detective Conan Movie 15: Quarter of Silence

Detective Conan 15: Quarter of Silence is the 15th movie installation to the 15-year anime series of the same title, Detective Conan. It was released last April 16, 2011 in Japan. It was directed by Kobun Shizuno who replaced Yasuichiro Yamamoto with Music arranged by Katsuo Ohno.  Yamamoto was the supervising director.

SUMMARY:
Official Movie Poster
The story started with the opening of the Touto Line (MTR) with the Governor of Tokyo gracing the event. Asakura Yuuichiro, Governor of Tokyo had received a theatening letter the before the day of the opening. Alongside the opening of the train line, Edogawa Conan and the Detective Boys were driven by Professor Agasa Hiroshi at the Beika Tunnel that passes under the new train line. As they pass on a emergency parking bay along the tunnel, Conan had a glimpse of a man standing without any vehicle with him, grinning like a demon. This made Conan remember the details of the letter sent to the governor he heard from Mouri Kogorou. He then notified the police about this and made stop the train and the vehicles passing on the tunnel to avoid more casualties.

A press conference was held, naming Conan as the 'witness'. After watching it, Conan researched about Yamamoto's political history and stumbled upon the Building of Kitanosawa Dam in Niigata Prefecture. Yamamoto, as Conan learnt, convinced the dwellers of Kitanosawa Village to move to a replacement village so that the dam will be built where the village was situated. Many protested against the idea but due to sheer influence of the then minister, the people were convinced left the village. Coincidentally, Conan and the others have a trip to the said village for the Snow Festival.

some screencaps from the movie.
credits to owner/uplaoder.
Conan, the Detective Boys, Mouri Kogorou and his daughter Ran, and Suzuki Sonoko (Ran's Best friend) went to the village. Upon arrival, Conan were curious about the dam, constantly asking information about it and the old, sunk village. The group met some locals namely Yamao Keisuke, Toono Mizuki, Tachihara Fuyumi, Mutou Takehiki, and Hikawa ShougoHe then heard 2 related incidents happened at the village 8 years ago: the death of Toono Natsuki (sister of Mizuki) and the fall-from-the-cliff of then-comatose Tachihara Touma (son of Fuyumi). He then discovered that these locals were childhood friends and elementary classmates but have grudges with each other and problems of their own.

Conan's group enjoyed their stay. It was on the 2nd day of their stay at the lodge that they saw Touma for the first time, having been awaken from his 8-year comatose. His mother and Mizuki were shocked about his awakening, news spread to his former classmates and friends who visited him. Later that day, on the hike near the dam, Conan and the others found Hikawa dead on the snow. They assumed that it's a suicide but various suspicions arose.

The next day, the group, together with Touma, decided to catch some glimpse of the sunrise. They also withnessed the Diamond Dust Phenomenon which had triggered some lost memories of Touma to return. When they returned to the lodge, Conan searched through Hikawa's belonging and found out an old newspaper clip of a robbery at a jewelry store, on the same date when the 2 incidents in the village happened. This made some things clear for Conan.

Conan and Ai rushed to save the Detective Boys
from the gunman
At the time of the festival, bombs exploded at the cell site bases of the village which made Conan's assumptions correct. He then searched for the other Detective Boys members only to find out that they accompanied Touma to the accident site. Things went bad as the children were being followed by a gunman who wanted to silent Touma. Conan and Ai had reached the children and led them to safety in the dam, explaining that Yamao is the culprit. Conan then went to the control room to notify the guards for the bombs only to find out that they were stun-gunned by Yamao already. He then revealed the truth: Yamao plans to dig out the jewelries he robbed from the jewelry store in Tokyo 8 years ago, that he hit-and-run Natsuki, and that the then-7-year-old Touma saw the diamonds in his car that's why he decided to kill the child. Yamao planned to bomb the dam to recover the treasure. In doing so, he planned to cancel the Governor's trip to the dam to buy some time.

Yamao got ahold of Conan and hurt him. He almost had gunned him down if Mizuki hadn't shot Yamao's right arm and firing at the gun away from him. Yamao and Mizuki wrestled for the bomb detonator but Conan gunned Yamao with this tranquilizer gun, making Yamao fall asleep. Little did they know that the bomb were activated with the fall of the detonator. The Detective Boys, together with Mizuki, Mutou (who recovered from the stun gun), and the dam guards hurriedly ran to safety but Conan was left behind as he helped Ayumi get to her knees. He then checked the area and thought of making an avalanche to avoid the village getting sunk in the dam water. He diverged into the snow mountain and successfully made an avalanche but he had caught on it. Ran saw Conan being divulged by the avalanche so she, together with the others, searched for Conan to beat the quarter-hour time limit of the avalanche. Luckily, Conan was found, thanks to Ran ringing and calling his name (real name: Shinichi) out loud causing him to regain consciousness.

RATE
I would rate this movie 9 out of 10. This movie is intensely made! Every Detective Conan fan, me being one, really had a great time watching it. The story was nicely done, thou they didn't give more emphasis with the relation of the governor with the village aside from the dam. I was expecting more exposures of the governor but then, I think that the producers wanted to focus on the more important parts.

Similarly, on the beginning portion of the movie, Conan was acknowledged to be the witness of the bombing but wasn't given credits as the 'savior' of the village. He almost lost his life saving the village but the village didn't recognize it as such. I hoped that Conan will be given a proper credits next time, just as He was credited at the beginning.

ShinichixRan scenes are missing too. They had one, maybe, when Ran tried to ask Shinichi about his would-be souvenirs but that just it. No more, no less. Then a little, thou not totally theirs, when Ran called Shinichi, asking help. I really don't think that's quite okay for her mind's occupied with finding Conan (who apparently is Shinichi) then ended up asking Shinichi for help. Maybe it's somehow good too 'coz with that, our little hero had returned. Maybe they should have given a little bit more of their scene, maybe a flashback.

Also, I was expecting Conan to snowboard earlier in the movie. But he started snowboarding when he and Ai looked for the Detective Boys in the dark. I enjoyed his skills during the edge of the dam explosion and at the avalanche. I still crave for more, being him a great boarder.

Over-all, this movie is great. It is action-packed, one adventure-thrilling movie that the Detective Conan movies are known for. This is highly-recommended for all people, DC fan or not, as long as they thirst of some snowy-white adventure.

my 11.11.11 thoughts

a lot of people are fond of making wishes whenever the clock strikes 11.11 [either at day or at night]. now that today's the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year after the millennium, everyone's going gaga over making never-ending wishlists.

my day started off with listening to rx 93.1's morning rush sho. gino and fran, today's djs, announced the topic for the next 4 hours: your message to your future boyfriend/girlfriend [dear future bf/gf.......]. i admit kilig was over the place [well, in my case over my body] upon hearing those sweet words, how mushy and cheesy they may get to be.

listening to the radio program has made me think that why don't i also prepare a message for my future half... i know that God will provide me one at the right place at the right time but hey, one can never be prepared if no action will be done, right?

maybe my message to him will go like this:

dear future boyfriend,

you know how much i have waited for you. i may not be your first, you may be mine, but i want you to know that i want us to last forever.......

and yes, it sounds so cheesy. but the statement says what i am trying to say awhile ago. it just that, i hesitated to send in my message to RX hotline :D

aside from a great love story, i also wish for everyone's happiness, not just mine. i don't want to be madamot [sorry for being conyo at this time XD] in giving it out. i want everyone around me to feel sum' loooove ;)

personally, i want to wish that everything will be fine, that everything i want to do will be done in the near future. all my plans, aspirations, dreams and hopes will really take place at some point in time in the future. they might be so distant now but if i work hard to achieve them then they will do come true.

oh before i forget, happy pepero day too!

pepero day is celebrated in south korea, thanks to the pepero choco sticks made by lotte confectionery.

just google it for more information... :D

happy 11/11/11 to all! :)

on hiatus.

i have not been able to update my blogspot, multiply, and tumblr accounts for an estimate of 2 months. thanks to my sudden hiring to zara philippines head office as an accounting clerk.

no, i really don't blame them for it. it's just that i am too tired from office that i merely forgot what sites to open.

i even haven't checked on my mails from the pc, just through phone [and i haven't read them either].

my online games [tinierme and gaiaonline] which i was somehow active during august and beginning of september have gone another hiatus.

also, i haven't got myself to see my ever-loving friends, either from hs or college. i barely messaged them 'coz when i do i won't be having sleep at all.

i just got myself updated on twitter. thank God for the developer of gladlycast and snaptu i can somehow take a peek on what's happening in my most fave social networking site in the whole wide universe. ;)

speaking of updating, i somehow also updated myself on facebook, but unlike twitter...

i still have lots of videos and images to upload, then post some on lockerz then then......

i must have some time to reconnect to the world, physically, and virtually, or else i might go crazy while facing our payables. lol ;p

first day of work...

awhile ago i started my work. it's my first, excluding my on-the-job training held last jan-feb.

i am an accounting clerk in ISCI, a corporation owned by the Tantongcos of Rustan's Group.

i was assigned to the accounts payable department and we're responsible for all the payments done by the company.

first day tasks are somehow manageable to do. and my direct superiors [ms. cha and sir richard] are so accommodating and entertaining to my questions that i don't have any hard time doing my tasks.

and also i got to have my own table. yey! XD

too bad i wasn't able to take a pic of it. i'll try tomorrow... :D

so far this day is good. i hope this'll continue until God-knows-when :)

thank you Lord for this. :)

unending words of gratitude

It's been just days since i finally marched my way to PICC for our much-awaited Commencement Exercises in Mapua. It's an honor for me to give thanks to those people whom i have shared my life with during these past 4 years of stay in that old RCBC building along Sen. Puyat Ave. in Makati.

these people never failed to make me laugh 'till my stomach hurts XDFirst and foremost, I want to thank my Accounting Buddies '07. We've shared various emotions throughout our journey to graduation. We may have lost many people along the way [due to the 2.50-quota grade] but the group is still intact. I'm proud to have you guys as my college buddies. And as what SpongeBob have said, "Buddies can get through anything, as long as they do it together… buddy!". Truly, we have come a long way since our day 1 in Mapua. And I hope we will still be together, thou not literally always, in whatever endeavors we have in the near future.

To our Accounting Professors, for always believing in our capacities as Accounting students and as Mapuans. Thou we're being pressured by unending loads of stuffs to-do, you still make us feel comfortable with your presence and your faith in us. Some of you might have left the school already but you still believe in our prowess. Without your guides, we wouldn't make this far. And as we face a new battle [which is the CPA Board Exam], I hope you still guide us throughout the way.

To the ETYSBM Department for lots of lessons in life. These experiences, good or bad, have taught us to nurture the gifts and talents hidden within us, to stand up for what we firmly believe. We may have some misunderstandings but I truly want to say thank you for those teachings undescribable in words.

To my Mapua Makati DanceCom for always bringing the joy and happiness in my life though i'm bombarded with stress and problems in schoolworks. You guys have taught me that I'm capable of doing something beyond my reach, that I can do something beyond studying. Thou my parents have a misunderstanding about you guys and my failed subject, I want to clear that up; that it's not your fault why I received that, that it got nothing to do with you nor with dancing. Thank you for those happy memories. You're one of those people who have made my college days colorful and happy.

To my ODS family, though I am not a frequent student of the studio, you never fail to make me feel at home whenever I attend the studio's activities. You have become a 2nd home [not to mention 3rd family] to me now. Thank you for the memories and I still continue to be associated with people like you until God-knows-when. Thank you for your guidance, your faith, and everything in-between!

To all the professors who handled me [I won't name you anymore], thank you. Even thou you bombarded each Mapuan with lots of schoolworks you made our stay in Mapua a memorable one. Thank you for a term [or 2] of handling me and my classmates.

To Prof. Alpha Omega Galsim, CPA, the first and only professor who had gave me a 5 [which made me unqualified for the Dean's Award:( ], i do thank you. Even thou you failed me in Act211 [FinAct 1 - Current Assets], it made me strive more to finish my program even thou along that road I was hesistant and confused if I have to shift course or to transfer to other schools. Even thou we didn't get along, I do respect you. With that failed mark, I learnt that in order to become stronger one must face trials, even failures. That failure made me a better person. Thank you for that.

To Atty. Joseph John Gerald Aguas and to his wife, [tita] Armi Aguas, CPA, thank you for everything you have done, from the photoshoot down to the feasibility study. You showed so much love to me, the love that was typically shown by parents. I really do admire both of you. I wish you all the best in life. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

To my MaGiK team mates [Kat and Selle], we may have lots of misunderstandings during the feasib making process but you never failed in believing in my capabilities. I'm not just thanking you for that but also I want to say sorry if most of the time I neglect my duties to the group. I may feel irritated and so pressured with your stance to me but that made me persevere more in doing my duties. Thank you for everything despite my wrongdoings to the group.

To all the people I have met and befriended to during my stay in Mapua, thank you. Though we have met and hanged-out for an average of 1-2 terms only, you still have an impact in my life. Thank you for everything!

To my parents, I may not be a vocal daughter when it comes to giving thanks or showing my love to you but i really do appreciate EVERYTHING you've done to me since i was born. Though we may lave LOTS OF MISUNDERSTANDINGS [I won't mention them anymore], you still haven't given up on me. When I failed my subject you bombarded me with words unfathomable by a suffering student but you still encouraged me in the end. You may have not supported me in my activities yet when you do know about them you give them a go. We have so many contradictions but we do find ways how one will cope with them. I am really proud to have you as my parents. Now that I'm a graduate I will do my best to help [especially with the pets' food:)) ] but please, let me decide my future plans by myself, oke? I LOVE YOU MA [okaasan], PA [otousan].

To the Big Man above, Lord God, thank you for the bountiful blessings You have bestowed on me. I may not be the perfect daughter You have but You never failed me to give me Your unending grace. You have shown to me that as long as I have faith in You, You will provide everything. Please continue to guide me as I unravel a new path in my life. I seek for Your guidance but I know that Your will must be done. Whatever it is, I am openheartedly accepting them. Thank you for everything, Lord God.

I may have left the walls of Mapua Makati physically but in my heart I will long for those stairs, for the Rm. 115 [which is the official tambayan of AB '07], for the small [yet jam-packed] ETYSBM faculty room, those 2 coca-cola vendo, the water dispenser, the covered court... in short everything!

Thank you Mapua Institute of Technology - Makati campus for all of these memories. I shall recall them for eternity.

thank you Mapua. :)

one phase down... one more to go...

everything that ends has a new beginning to unfold...
.........

awhile ago, i mean yesterday morning, i just had my baccalaureate mass in mapua intramuros together with my batchmates, classmates in accountancy program, friends, and some other schoolmates. it's a sign that we're really  nearing that endline of our college days.

in the philippines, a baccalaureate mass is celebrated before the commencement exercises to give praise and thanks to the Big Man above for giving us students strength and endurance in this race. and personally, i am so much thankful for everything He has given to me...

well, this day has started not-so-well, being waken up at 6 am rather than an hour ago; leaving the house  and waiting for taxi cab 300 minutes before the 8.00-a.m. mass; arriving at the venue 15 minutes late. and of course, with those scenes i am not happy at all.

but of course, the mood suddenly changed from piss and hatred to happiness and joy. i enjoy with my friends and company. i enjoy every minute we share. and these memories i shall recall for eternity.

after the baccalaureate mass we didn't let the opportunity pass to have our own photo opportunities. here are some of the pics:

of course we do have a nice shot XD

Accounting Buddies '07

you might ask why we are all in yellow. that is because in mapua it's a custom to have the schools in color-coding. the color assignment rotates but we're lucky to have yellow. not because it's my favorite color [well, that's a fact], but also yellow is the color of the worksheets that had helped us during our crucial times in accounting subjects. and we have this custom of wearing yellow-shaded shirts during major exams.

yellow is AB '07 and AB'07 is yellow. as simple as that.

we have lots of pictures. do visit my multiply album for this.

of course, team magik didn't let the opportunity away. we have our own team photo. yata!

Team MaGiK. picture courtesy of labtim Kat [at the left] ^^

for now, we will enjoy our last days as college students before we enter the real world of unemployment and board exam preparations hahaha.

see you all at PICC on thursday for the special day of our college life. ^^

to the 9 angels of our SONE lives, happy 4th anniversary ^^

let me transfer my fanscreams here... :D

years ago, there is this one girl group that debuted in korea with lots of hater and antis... some said that they are just beauty, with no talent at all. they worked hard to prove the haters wrong while showcasing what they've got in front of different audience and races...

four years later, these girls are still intact. in fact, they are currently asia's no. 1 girl group.

who am i talking about? no other than Girls' Generation. :)

they're also commonly known as So Nyuh Shi Dae [in korean] or the acronym SNSD.

i've been a fan since their debut. a friend of mine introduced them to me, him being a kpop afficionado too...

i found them cute and refreshing so i listened to their songs. upon listening to their single Girls' Generation, which is a cover of a famous singer in korea, i like them since then.

i may not be a 'true-blue' fan to some other due to i don't attend meet-ups and/or conferences with fellow SONES [the group's fans' name] here in the Philippines, i am still proud to call myself one 'coz i've seen them grow as the years go by.

their first single, Into The New World, really makes me teary-eyed whenever i hear/watch it. i don't know why is that so. maybe because i really know the hardships they suffered. they've come a long way to taste the sweet success they're having now.

i am so happy for them. :)
wanna share to you one blogpost i stumbled upon while tweeting [and yes, helping the SNSD4thAnni trend]...

9 Girls, 1 Generation [BY FERREROROCHER9]

Certainly, in life, there are some things that are one of a kind and there’s really nothing else quite like it. We all have to agree that SoShi Bond is one of those things.
Though SoShi Bond is sometimes used when we’re talking about two or more members interacting with each other, SoShi Bond usually refers to when our girls are together as 9; the moment they’re in harmony and become one. It’s something that only our girls have and it makes them stand out from others.
We know Girls’ Generation is not just a group of 9 girls, they’re than that. They’re more than co-workers and beyond best friends. They’re like a family. They look out for each other, they depend on each other, and more importantly, they complete each other. If you think about it, each member has her different charms, strengths, and weaknesses. When they’re together, they’re able to balance out and make up for each other’s flaws. There’s Jessica’s gentleness to make up for Yuri’s toughness, Hyoyeon’s quirkiness to make up for maknae’s inflexibility, Sooyoung’s long legs to make up for Sunny’s shortness, Yoona’s innocence to make up for Taeyeon’s byuntaeness, Tiffany’s wildness to make up for Jessica’s calmness, and vice versa.
When we talk about the SoShi Bond they have, nothing is on par with its strength. Its strength is beyond imagination. It’s stronger than any chemical or ionic bond; it’s unbreakable. Many of us see other groups out there and we see them lose a member, gain a member, or even break up, but our girls are an exception. Through thick and thin, our girls have stuck together and persevered for almost 4 years now. Whatever they encounter, whether it is difficulties or joy, they have overcome and shared it together. Yoona once said, “Happiness is doubled when you share them together and sadness is halved when you share them together.” For Girls’ Generation, happiness is always nonupled and sadness is divided into nine-folds. It’s a beautiful fact we can’t deny.
Additionally, nothing is quite like SoShi Bond’s impact. It’s the reason behind our girls’ success today. If there’s no teamwork or chemistry in a group, you’re probably bound to fail, but our girls have both good chemistry and teamwork entailed in their bond. With their talented and dedicated team,  they’re able to work together to deliver results and we have witness them ourselves–setting a record with 9 consecutive wins on Music Bank, being the first-ever Korean girl group to top the Oricon Chart on the day of original album releasegrabbing the top of the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with a total of 232,000 copies sold in its first week of release, being the first-ever Korean girl group to be certified “Double Platinium” with 500,000 copies of their 1st Japanese album sold, etc.
Sooyoung pointed out before that only together as 9 was she able to come this far in her career and accomplish so much; “I did have some hard times back then [in Japan]. When I was there, I took the underground trains. If I wanted to be on a TV show, I had to go in advance to meet the producers and audition for them. Now, our schedule just fills up by itself. When we arrive at the airport, there are cars waiting for us. So when I went [to Japan] this time, I felt humbled. What I couldn’t do back then has become possible because I’m together with these eight.”
We can also say that SoShi Bond is the reason why our girls have fans of an exceptional multitude today as well. Many have been drawn to Girls’ Generation solely because of their bond. Every time we see SoShi Bond, we can’t help but find it admirable, right? It’s beautiful. It warms our hearts. It elicits our emotions. It makes our day. And we like this about our girls.
It’s something that keeps our girls together and is both precious to SONES and them.
“…If there’s one thing that won’t change, it’s the fact that from the beginning to the end SNSD was “one” with 9 members”  - SNSD
“I don’t think SNSD as a group will ever be broken apart. Even if after many years have gone by. Even after we get married.” – Taeyeon
“I wish SNSD’s way down can be more beautiful than anyone else’s and that we will enjoy what we have right now. I wish we would all do things with a positive mind.” – Jessica
“For me, each of SNSD members is like my own body. If one gets hurts or hears bad things from someone else, it hurts me and pains me even more. And you know, it’s impossible for only good things to happen to someone, so there will always be difficult and hurtful times; but during these times, I’m thankful that we’re each other’s supports and each other’s strength. I hope in the future, we’ll continue to lean on each other and be strong for each other. Also, when we need encouragement, we’ll continue to look for each other too.” – Sunny
“In a family, we encounter happiness but also sadness, or good things but also bad things. However, let’s be together forever until the end.” – Tiffany
“The nine of us being together is more important than anything else.” – Hyoyeon
“We can only shine brightest as SNSD when SNSD stands on one stage as nine.” – Yuri
“Like a mirror, I look right into their eyes, and they reflect me.” – Sooyoung
“Nine different people gathered and became like a family. To me, it is a very meaningful tie.” – Yoona
“We firmly believe in the power of unity and feel that it is easier to get pass hardships and challenges as a team. This gels us and keeps us strong.” – Seohyun
For me, I’m proud to be a SONE because of the SoShi Bond our girls have. It never ceases to amaze me; 9 girls becoming one. To celebrate for our girls’ 4th anniversary coming up, I made a tribute to SoShi Bond.

I hope Girls’ Generation will continue to persevere for a long time <3
